Situational Interview Questions
Situational questions ask "what would you do if…". They test judgment, not past experience.
Common situational questions
- You have multiple high-priority deadlines this week. How do you handle it?
- A teammate isn't delivering. What do you do?
- Your manager gives you feedback you disagree with. How do you respond?
- You spot an error in a colleague's work just before a deadline. What now?
How to answer
Structure: name the situation, list the considerations, describe your approach, describe the trade-offs, describe the outcome. If there is no single right answer, say so and explain your reasoning.
