Overview
Advoke CV is a static, browser-based website. There is no backend that stores your data. Everything you enter — resumes, cover letters, job applications, checklists — is stored in your browser's localStorage on your own device. It never reaches our servers because there are no servers.
What is stored locally
- Your resume draft (
advoke:resume-draft) - Your cover letter draft (
advoke:cover-letter-draft) - Your job application tracker (
advoke:job-tracker) - Your theme preference (
advoke:theme) - Checklist progress for tailoring and print tools
- Your cookie-consent decision (
advoke:consent)
You can clear all of this at any time using the "Clear All" button in the resume builder, or by clearing browser data for this site.
What we do not do
- We do not upload your resume or personal details.
- We do not use third-party analytics or trackers.
- We do not sell, rent, or share personal information.
- We do not use cookies for advertising (pending any future legitimate ad integration — see below).
- We do not require an email or account to use any tool.
Photos
If you upload a photo for your resume, it is resized in your browser and stored as a data URL in local storage. It never leaves your device.
Advertising
If Advoke CV later participates in advertising (for example, AdSense), ads may be served by third parties who could set cookies. Any such ad integration would be disclosed and gated by the consent prompt. As of this policy version, no ad network is active.
Your rights
Because Advoke CV has no server storing your data, there is nothing for us to delete on your behalf — you already have full control. To remove all locally stored data, use the "Clear All" button in the builder or clear site data in your browser settings.
