Common Interview Questions
Tell me about yourself
2-minute answer: who you are, what you've done, why you're here. Focus on the role. Avoid a full career history.
Why do you want this job?
Reference specifics about the company and the role. Avoid generic answers — if the same answer works for another company, it's too generic.
What's your biggest weakness?
Name a real weakness and what you're actively doing to improve it. Avoid disguised strengths ("I care too much").
Where do you see yourself in 5 years?
Show ambition that aligns with the role — not a completely different career path.
Why are you leaving your current role?
Be positive. Focus on growth opportunities, not complaints. Never criticize a former manager or company.
Tell me about a time you failed
Pick a real failure with a real lesson. Avoid ones that aren't actually failures. End with what you changed going forward.
